Why Dart River Adventures? 

 Dart River Adventures has been operating since 1989. We are the only operator permitted to operate on the Dart River, we can take you to places which are inaccessible by any other means. 

We are owned by Ngāi Tahu Tourism, who are one of the largest tourism operators in Aotearoa (New Zealand). Manaakitanga (hospitality) is one of the core values that drives the way we do business. As hosts, we care for our customers and our team as whānau (family).

If you are looking for an adventure activity suitable for a large group, with a wide range of ages, interests and abilities, both our Funyaks Trip and Wilderness Jet are ideal options.

The Wilderness Jet trip is not your typical hard and fast jet boat ride. We offer a guided experience which will connect you to the landscapes, culture and history of the area with the fun factor of a jet boat added in! 

The Funyaks Trip combines the exhilaration of the guided Wilderness Jet boat, with a serene downstream paddle giving you a chance to sit back, relax and really take in the spectacular scenery. Get up close and personal on our easy to use Funyaks (inflatable canoes) - explore hidden side streams, an ancient chasm and take in the beauty of the native flora and fauna. The Funyaks trip is not strenuous or difficult, with the river current assisting the paddling most of the way.
